Sidekick Social Club

Brooksville, FL · Monthly · In Person or Zoom

A monthly meetup for dog owners in Hernando County — coffee, good company, and one real training topic per session.

Most dog owners want to understand their dogs better, not just get through the next problem. That's the idea behind Sidekick Social Club — a monthly session where we slow down and really dig into one subject, with time for questions and real answers you can use that week.

Sessions are casual. If you're joining in person, bring something for the potluck table and grab a coffee. Prefer to join from home? The same session streams live over Zoom. This one's just for the humans — leave your dog home for this one so we can all focus on the material.

The Series

A different topic each month, chosen by the people who show up. Sign up for the next one before you leave — no need to wait on another announcement.

Understanding Dog Body Language & Preventing Problems

Most conflicts — dog-to-dog and dog-to-human — are preceded by warning signs that go unnoticed until it's too late to act on them. This session is about catching those signs early.

  • Recognizing stress, fear, and discomfort before they escalate
  • Telling appropriate play apart from a situation turning
  • What excitement looks like versus what arousal looks like
  • The subtle signals dogs give before a bite, fight, or shutdown

Date: Saturday, September 12 Time: 10:00 – 11:30 AM Format: In Person or Zoom Location: Brooksville, FL — sent on RSVP Includes: Coffee & light brunch (in person) Price: $20 per person

The in-person session is confirmed once 8 people have signed up. If we don't reach 8 by Sept 5, everyone registered moves to the Zoom session automatically.
